Baja Missions

Welcome to our Baja Missions Base website!

Victory Churches International is in the process of setting up a Missions Base in the Ensenada, Baja California Mexico area. This vision includes a local church plant, training center, orphanage and a short term missions, training and accommodations base.

Praise the Lord, we have found the property for the new missions base, and the purchase process is under way! Bookings are coming in from churches across Canada and the United States. Start planning your mission to the Baja now and you can check to make sure your dates are available on the booking page. We are working on a March 2010 booking right now, so don't hesitate to get your bookings in!

Living in Mexico full time has so far been an exercise in patience. We are of course, learning on the fly but please keep praying for us. We are grateful for your help and all of your prayers, and we thank the Lord for each one of you! Meet us on the Mission Team page.

First Mission to the Baja

Lac la Biche and Santa Ana break new ground!

Missions groups from New Life Victory Fellowship in Lac la Biche, Alberta and California Victory Church in Santa Ana join together to form the first mission team to visit the Victory Mission Base in Ensenada.

Outreaches included, a "Love Visit" to a worker camp, a community "Fiesta" in a public park, a children's outreach in Uruapan, and a visit to the Tijuana dump. God's love was shared through meeting some practical needs, such as food and clothing, and the Gospel message was preached and received by many.

The next group coming to the Baja Missions Base is Victory Church on the Rock, Northeast - from Edmonton Alberta - November 24th to December 5th 2008. Welcome to Mexico!

Missions Ensenada

Known as the "Cinderella of the Pacific", Ensenada is located in Mexico 70 miles south of the international border, a 90-minute drive from San Diego on the west coast of the Baja peninsula. Its warm Mediterranean climate, friendly atmosphere and accessibility by land, air, and sea have made Ensenada a favorite Baja tourist destination for many years, and it's the second most-visited port-of-call for major cruise lines and pleasure boats in Mexico

Being on the ocean really moderates the temperature here. Even a few miles inland on the Baja, the temperatures can go significantly higher than on the coast. So summer missions here are potentially more comfortable than inland destinations can be.

Ensenada's strategic location places it close enough to the US to have fairly easy access, yet far enough that we can still reach some areas that haven't been too Americanized. You now fly your missions groups into LAX or the the San Diego airport, rent vans, and drive to the Victory Baja Mission where your mission events are already organized. Thus reducing the planning and organization overhead on you and your local church. Here is an opportunity for every church to be enabled to have a 3rd world missions experience in Baja California Mexico, with minimal planning and experience needed.
