On April the sixth Gerald and Patsy arrived at the mission base ready for service. Their journey had begun a couple of weeks before when they heard we were looking for a couple to come to Ensenada and man the base. In a few short days, they made the decision to come and Patsy even left her job to make the journey.
During their first week at the base they helped us prepare for the arrival of the team from Cold Lake. They were able to get some insight into what goes into preparing for a team and then helping facilitate their ministries. They were stretched greatly, but really enjoyed participating in the ministries.
As some of you may know Cindy headed to Canada back in mid January to get some much needed medical attention. Her vericos viens had caused a bad ulcer on her lower leg and it was time to get them removed. PTL! she had her operation in March and has recovered well.
Because of Gerald and Patsy's sacrifice I was enabled to come to Canada and spend some time with family and friends and had the special honor of marrying my son Dirk to his beautiful bride Nicole last week. They have even given us the use of their home in Sherwood Park while we are in this area.
I am very grateful to you guys for all of your sacrifices. You are truly generous and giving and I wish I had more to give you than our thanks.
If any of our readers are touched to give to this amazing couple you can do so through Victory Church in the Park, Sherwood Park, Alberta. Indicate that the donation/cheque is for Gerald and Patsy. A reciept will be issued for you too!
