Regional team joins together from three Victory Churches, this time from Alberta, Canada.

West Edmonton, St Albert, and Sherwood Park, together form a strong regional team sure to pave the wave for future visits!

I have often mentioned the diversity of the ministry opportunities at Victory House Baja, and as more teams have come to serve in those ministries I find that their diversities are even greater. Yet, even with such differences in age, gender, time saved, etc, teams come together in unity of purpose under Christ to reach the lost with the eternal hope of the Gospel message. It is a special privilege to be able to watch this happen over the course of one week.

This mission was led by Pastor Emilie Carothers from Victory Church in the Park, Sherwood Park, Alberta, along with co-leaders, Pastor Dale and Heather Aceron from Victory Church on the Rock, West Edmonton. Ingid Anderson, the missions representative from Victory Life Church in St. Albert was along to learn the ropes at the mission base too. This is Pastor Emilie's third missions visit to VHB in less than eighteen months. 1st. 2nd.

The week was filled with opportunities to serve, to speak, and to testify of how God has impacted their lives and the team rose up to every occasion. The teams first full day in Mexico saw them advertising an upcoming Fiesta & Bake Sale in a Tijuana neighborhood in the morning and then off to the Tijuana Dump for the afternoon. The team performed a dramatic skit set to music portraying Christ breaking our bondage to sin and setting us free. Some of the people at the dump got set free that day too!

Day two had the team preparing baked goods to donate to the Tijuana church's Saturday event, doing some work around the mission base, and then in the late afternoon we headed to the ladies rehab center to spend an evening ministering to the gals there. The ladies were treated to some fun games, the drama, and a special time of testimonies, message and ministry. Afterwards the team gave the ladies some much needed items like soap, toothpaste & brushes, and others.

Day three sent us off to Tijuana once again to join together with the Iglasia Lo Mejor del Trigo (The best of the Wheat/Grain Church) for another community event. This time we celebrated with them in their purchase of property to enable a much needed expansion to their building. They have been standing room only the last few months and often people who show up on the late side don't stay because there is no room for them. PTL! The day included crafts and fiesta fun, music from local worship teams/bands, a great bake and food sale, a testimonies, a message from Pastor Dale, and an amazing time of worship and dancing Mexico style!

Sunday was a free day, but even in the fun and adventure God still had much to say as we toured the zip lines, went quadding, and did some shopping at both the Bufadora and the Touristica.

On Monday we headed out to a very poor neighborhood called "89" to serve that community through our mobile feeding program. We are working there with a recently planted, local "Mission Church" and after only a few outreaches the church is growing. The team worked hard preparing and serving the food and learned much in our short time in the "hood".

On Tuesday, the last day for the team's Mexico missions adventure, we visited with our friends at The Mount of Olives Orphanage in Uruapan. The time spent with the kids and staff is always a two way blessing and this visit was no exception. The team performed their drama once again and followed it up with testimony and teaching. Angela made us some really good fish tacos for supper, and yes team they were really made with shark. A great time was had by all!

The mission was marked with overcoming and I am sure that each member has gone back to Canada with an increased, renewed or a brand new passion for the lost. PTL!

Thanks to each of you for your sacrifices of hard work, finances, and tears for the people of Ensenada and the mission base. God bless you!
