Ministries Support

A nearby church has a presently unused dental clinic on their property. The clinic, while a bit rustic, has two chairs, an x-ray machine and the compressor and other equipment necessary to preform dental work. They know of dentists who are willing to donate their time in the clinic as well. What they do not have is the accompanying instruments that are needed in this type of operation. I asked the pastor, "if we can find you the instruments, will you re-open the clinic?" and he said "Yes" Here is a great outlet for you dentists to donate your dated, surplus or even some new equipment to a great cause. I'm sure we could arrange for you to bring the gear down yourself and spend some time in the clinic (and on the beach) and see first hand what your are helping to support. Imaging what your graduating class could do by pooling your resources under your desire to "give back" to a community/country where a large portion of the population is without dental care. If this is speaking to you, contact us for more information.

After talking with Pastor Guermo from a nearby church, and hearing about his lunch program I went over to see how his program functioned. The kids and mothers come in three waves, the first being the kiddies and the others after being let out of school and then dropped off by the bus right at the church. That was a few weeks ago and it hasen't been far from my mind and heart since. So, after praying and trusting we have gone ahead and jumped out of the boat and committed ourselves to help out with this ministry one day a week.

We have begun serving up a hot lunch along with a short scripture message targeted at each age group, right here at the mission base. We are praying that some individual, small group, or church will come along and open their heart and finances to sponsor this program. We are going to try and float this ministry on a budget of $150 US per month. If this is a ministry that you would like to partner in, please contact us, let us know what you would like to do, and we'll make the necessary arrangements.

We are taking the left-overs into the hillside neighborhood and giving them to needy families there. Shown above is the nearly one-hundred year ols woman who recently received Jesus. More
