Baja 1000 - 2010
Baja 1000 - 2010Score International Racing has released the schedule for it's 2010 Desert Series races.
Large crowds of racing fans will converge in Ensenada during it's hosting of two of the three Desert Series races run here in the Baja by Score International. You might not come all the way down to the Baja just to watch the start of a desert off road race, even a legendary one, but why not schedule a missions adventure that will put you and your team in Ensenada on race day. You could do missions work before and/or after taking a couple of free days to enjoy the the pre-race and race day excitment, or make the race and it's crowds a part of your ministries here. At next months race I will be gathering information on getting space for a booth in the vendors area and seeking ways to reach the racings fans for Jesus. We'd even like to have a Friday night pre-race service right in what used to be a casino built by Al Capone back in the 30's. The race's starting line is right out front of the old casino / hotel.
So far as I know at this point, the Baja 500 is a curcuit race this year and will start and finish in Ensenada, but the 2010 Baja 1000 will be a peninsula race and as such will start in Ensenada and finish somewhere in Baja California South.
As the dates for the races have just been recently released, I checked the bookings calendar and see that 3rd Day Victory Church has already booked a mission with us during the running of the 42nd Tecate SCORE Baja 500 - June 4-6, 2010. PTL! I can't wait to send out that email. This leaves only the Baja 1000 available for booking in 2010, so don't be disappointed on this one. Get your team's booking in for the 43rd Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 - Nov. 17-21, 2010 asap!
