Breaking New Ground
Breaking Ground2010 Sets Off with New Construction Improvements on Mission Base Stronghold.
Harvest Life Victory Church from Cold Lake, Alberta begins the new year by breaking ground on the new storage - extra bedroom building at the Mission Base Facility.
Preparations are already under way to prepare the site for the new building's footings and floor. Local volunteers are working hard alongside a local back hoe to get prepared for the Alberta teams arrival so they will be able to contribute to this project by pouring the first new concrete in the Mission Base Stronghold. Our property has some very big rocks strewn about and as we now know, has many buried beneath the surface as well. Our volunteers are using the fire, then cold water method to break up the rocks in order to have a nice even floor in the storge building.
The mission team from Cold Lake will also be ministering the Gospel through an evening dinner and a movie outreach, a fiesta outreach at a migrant worker camp, a "Love Visit" to the Tijuana Dump, a community feeding program and a visit to an orphanage.
The mission team leaders from Harvest Life, Brian & Emma Proch, visited with us last April while we had a missions team here from Victory Church on the Rock, Grande Prairie, Alberta. During their time here they were able to experience first hand what a typical mission adventure to the Baja mission base is like and very soon thereafter booked with us to bring this team down in February. Check our booking calendar to see if your dates are available. Interestingly enough, we will have another couple visiting with us from the Lethbridge Victory Church during the mission with Brian and Emma's team. We look forward to seeing a team from Lethbridge join in with the Victory vision for the Baja.
Just in case you might be wondering if Victory House Baja is only available to teams from Victory churches, the answer is no. If you would like to bring a group from your church to our Baja missions base just send us an email using our contact page and we can get started setting up a customized missions trip for you and your team. Also, if you would like to visit us like Brian and Emma did, and see first hand what a mission trip to our base looks like, just send us an email to get the ball rolling. You'll be glad you did!
